He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Longenecker and Sarah Lehman Longenecker; his son Richard M. Longenecker Jr.; and his brother Barry Longenecker. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Winters Longenecker; his daughters, Debra Longenecker of Pine Grove, Susan (Ken Lengel) of Pine Grove, Barbara (Thomas Sleva) of Pine Grove, Ann (John Stahl) of Pine Grove and Janet (Rich Wolfe) of Pine Grove; his grandchildren, Alison Sherk, Amy Dubbs, Luke Longenecker, Heather Krammes, Jennifer Frantz, Nicole Heaton, Kenneth Sites, Christopher Blouch, Zachary Blouch and Tyler Wolfe; and his siblings, Robert Longenecker of Hershey, Lester Longenecker of Palmyra and Shirley Ruhl of Plowville. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
