John Zimmerman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Zimmerman of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 28, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zimmerman and Elva Clemens Zimmerman; his sons, John and Carl Zimmerman; and his siblings, Paul, Lynn, Carl Zimmerman, Mary Steffy, Lulu Reed, June Knarr and Jean Waterhouse.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Aungst Zimmerman; his daughters, Lorraine (Leslie Brightbill) of Pine Grove, Grace (Abie Maidenford) of Pine Grove, Mary (Charles Wertz) of Pine Grove and Susan (Dale Hine) of New Ringgold; his grandchildren, Jason Hine, Angela Brown, Thomas Sleva, Jenny Hine, Amanda Daubert, Paul Sleva, Melissa Snyder, Charles Brightbill, Sarah Limbert and John Zimmerman; his great grandchildren, Faith, Bradley, Valerie, Macie, Makenzie, Tyler, Davin, Logan, Addison, Madison, Layla, Kylee, Hannah, Kamerin, Allison, Eliza, Austin, Tanner, Jayse, Callie, Dawson, Taylor and J. J.; and his sister Joan Luksic of North Carolina. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or the American Heart Association, Bldg A Suite 10, 25 Stevens Lane, West Lawn, Pa. 19609 in his memory.
