He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Kimmel and Verna Snyder Kimmel; his wife Barbara Ann Fox Kimmel; and his sister Connie "Chutt" Zimmerman. He is survived by: his sister Janice (Robert Lehr) of Pine Grove; his nephews, David Lehr of Pine Grove, Gary Zimmerman of Bethel and Jeff Zimmerman of Pine Grove; his niece Cindy Best of York; and his stepchildren, Wendy (John Endres) of Titusville and Jason Wessner of Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to either St. Matthew's Lutheran Church or St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, c/o Richard Wolfgang, 240 Tremont Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 or Compassus Hospice, 1001 James Drive, Suite B34 Leesport, Pa. 19533 in his memory.
