He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Sr. Derfler and Ruth Hardenstine Derfler; his granddaughter Amber Nicole Brown; his great grandchild Paul Eugene Derfler; and his siblings, Paul, Eugene Derfler and Gloria Ash.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Zimmerman Derfler; his children, Michael (Doreen Derfler) of Pine Grove, Terry (Lela Derfler) of Pine Grove, Tammy Kessler of Pine Grove, Krystal Derfler of Pine Grove and Kelly (Scott Jennings) of California; and his siblings, June Hoffman and Terry Derfler of Pine Grove. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Pine Grove Wesleyan Church, 74 Bethel Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in his memory.
