He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Thompson and Eva B. Behney Thompson; and his siblings, Ledyard, Richard, William Thompson, Anna Swisher and Joan Ragus (Shirley).
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Thompson of Miami Beach, FL and Troy Thompson of Wilkes Barre; his granddaughter Olivia Eva Thompson; and his close friend Susan Jarrett.
