He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Harner and Pearl Harner (Schaeffer); and his siblings, Louise Trainer, Joyce Weidenbaugh, Marvin Harner, Reverend William Harner, Merle Harner and Robert Harner.
He is survived by: his spouse Yu Chu Harner (Wang); his stepsons, Jung-Chun Wang (Ruffini Pankhurst-Wang) and LeChun Wang (Sarah Adams); and his stepgrandchildren, Makaio Wang, Anaiyah Wang, Ikaia Wang and Joy Wang.
