He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Smeltz and Hannah Smeltz; his son Chris; and his brother Dale Smeltz. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Smeltz; his daughter Ashley Welker (Steve); his grandsons, Brock and Cale Welker; and his goddaughter Desiree Buffington.
