Verda loved her little country house of worship, Coventryville United Methodist Church, where donations can be made in her honor.

“Rusty and Troy, Your mother was one of a kind. She was my very best friend for over 68 years and was truly a remarkable woman. I have many memories of her - my first was shortly after we moved to Royersford. It was my first day in a new school. On the walk home, another little 7 year old girl came running over to me - "Hi, my name's Verda Marie Schaefer, what's yours?" From that moment on, we were joined at the hip. I loved your mom dearly. She will live forever in my heart.”
