She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Peterman and Margaret Peterman (Craner). She is survived by: her husband Deacon Mark Szewczak; her children, Carolyn Polgardy (Doug), Stephen and Melanie Oestreich (Ryan); her granddaughter Kaylee; and her siblings, Kevin Peterman and Kathleen Schilling. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
