He was predeceased by: his wife Joan M. Barkman (Taylor) of Phoenixville, PA; his parents, Marshall A. Barkman, Sr. and Hazel Barkman (Bartholomew); his siblings, Wallace Barkman, Doris Carlin, Esther Merchant, Cynthia Whitworth and Ernest Barkman; and his grandsons, Mark Gantert and Dennis Viscuso.

He is survived by: his children, Anita Watkins (Jack), MaryJane Brown (Carl), Joanne Taylor (Greg), Marshall Barkman III (Gretchen), George Barkman (Linda), Evelyn Manos (Tom) and Kevin Barkman (Nicole); and his siblings, Loretta Bingahaman, Linda Wasson, Carl Barkman and David Barkman (Bonnie).
