He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy (Hallman); his parents, John Bernat and Catherine Bernat (Nowak); and his siblings, Andrew "Smokey" Bernat, Stella O'Bara and Leona Sech.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Mastrangelo (Rick) of Spring City, Lisa Bernat of Phoenixville, Eugene Bernat (Barbara) of Phoenixville and John Bernat (Sandra) of Spring City; his sister Josephine Sim of California; his grandchildren, Laurie, Andrew (Tami), John III (Nicole), Joshua (Christine), Frances, Joel (Alicia) and Carl; and his great grandchildren, Sara, Leah, Sienna, Bradley, Alexis, Lilyannah, Zander and Vincent. He is also survived by his wife of 62 years, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Hank's memory to the Bucktown Boosters Scholarship Fund.
