He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Spollen and Nora Spollen (Connelly); his wife Suzanne M. Spollen (Sweeney); his son Joseph Spollen; his children-in-law, Deborah Spollen and Stephen Skilton; his brother William Spollen; and also Suzanne.

He is survived by: his children, Mary T. Skilton, Michael Spollen (Laura), Francis Spollen (Paula), John Spollen (Sue), Kate Hayn (Kurt) and Daniel Spollen; his grandchildren, Stephen (Jaelyn), Brian (Christine), Kevin (Amy), Sean (Rachel), Pete, Brigid (Rick), Jack (Bonny), Timothy (Stephanie), Scott, Francis (Stephanie), Kyle, Erin (Jamie), Meghan (Liam), Ryan (Julie), Trevor and Danielle; and his great grandchildren, Jane, Thomas, Liam, Jude, Patrick, Archie, Conan, Riley, Sophia, Olivia, Kallie, Paige, Freya and Remy.
