He is survived by: his wife Rose Chu; his children, Dr. Calvin Chu, Melinda Chu, Cathy Hin (Bunny Hin) and Patty Kaing (Hour Kaing); his grandchildren, Dylan Kaing, Emily Hin, Mason Kaing, Natalie Hin, Jessica Hin and Kai Kaing; and his siblings, Rosie Yip, Daisy Khaw, Dr. Harvey Chu, Susong Thanse, Ivy Chow, Dr. Holly Lim, Eileen Wong and Susaik Chu.
