He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Johns and Margie Ann Johns; his former wife Maryann Martin; his daughter Sandra Beth Armstrong; and his siblings, Edward Johns, Richard Johns, Margie Ann Gambone and Pamela Cassidy.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Dawn Marie Colket, C. Anne Dopp, Lynn Dopp and Joseph (Jennifer Dopp); his grandchildren, Lloyd Colket, Meredith Colket, Samantha Armstrong, Madison Dopp, Gabriel Dopp and Dawson Dopp; and his siblings, Susan Tague, Kevin Johns and Sally Pezzoli.
