We are sad to announce that on January 17, 2023, at the age of 90, Robert Mattern of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Mattern to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Mattern and Ruth Mattern (Bateman); his sister Elizabeth Konkle; and his children-in-law, Danene Mattern and Wayne Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Sankey; his children, Pamela Jones of Osceola Mills, PA, Jo Ellen Simcox (David) of Philipsburg, PA and Robert L. Mattern, II of Warren, PA; his sister Eloise O'Brien of Palmyra, PA; and his grandchildren, Jessica Jones, Jeremy Jones, Zachary Mattern, Kara Hess, Benjamin Simcox, Katelynn Haney and Lauren Simcox. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
