She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Hughes and Elizabeth Hughes (Chronister); her husband John E. Smith; her son Edward R. Smith; and her siblings, Mary Jane Brice, Loretta Carson, Imogene Meyer, Raymond Hughes and Edward Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Ressa J. Owens (Stanley) of Beech Creek, PA, Benjamin G. Smith (Michelle) of Osceola Mills, PA and John M. Smith (Cathy) of Osceola Mills, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and ten great grand-children.
