It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen Jane Scaife of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Dixon and Edna Dixon (Osewalt); and her brothers, Gerald, Frank, Willard, Terry and Calvin Dixon.

She is survived by: her husband Richard H. Scaife; her children, Janelle Rojik (Wendel) of Petersburg, PA, Wanda Hockenberry (Greg) of Bellefonte, PA, Steven M. Scaife of Philipsburg, PA and Mark D. Scaife (Mary) of Osceola Mills, PA; and her siblings, Edith M. Patterson (Blaine) of Osceola Mills, PA, Irene Williams (Willard) of Port Matilda, PA, Walter Dixon (Alice) of Boalsburg, PA, Blair Dixon of Philipsburg, PA and Dale Dixon (Cindy) of Bellefonte, PA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
