She was predeceased by: her parents, Jennings D. Johnston and Bessie Jane Johnston (Pomroy); her son Terence Dobson; and her sisters, Ethel May "Bobbie" Johnston, Louise Johnston and Donna Escott.
She is survived by: her daughter Vicki Butler of Wellsboro; her granddaughters, Jane Holden and Leigh Twoey; her great grandchildren, Isla and Olive Twoey; her sister Theodora J. "Teddy" Conklin of Philipsburg; and her brother-in-law Robert "Whitey" Escott of Waynesburg.
Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 S. Front Street, Philipsburg, Pa 16866.
