He was predeceased by: his parents, William F and Viola; and his siblings, Margaret Spites, Clara Wilson, Bill Burns and Joseph Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his children, Thomas Burns (Carol), Eleanor Gedraitis (Joseph "Droopy"), Erik Burns, Sean Burns and Lauren Gedraitis; and his sister-in-law Donna Burns. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Murphy Ruffenach Brian W Donnelly Funeral Home (2237 S 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19148). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (1404 S 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19147).
In keeping with his devotion and love for Sacred Heart of Jesus Church donations in his memory can be made there in his memory.
