Spencer left this world on April 16, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William McGowan and Catherine McGowan. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Caroline Braun (Al), Regina Olkowski (Keith) and Timmy Mears; his sister Ellen Epperson (Joe Foell); and his aunt Ann Helwig (late Don). He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter (1723 Race St, Philadelphia, PA 19103). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
