He was predeceased by: his wife Jennie K. Newmiller; and his siblings, Mary Smalley and Edward Newmiller. He is survived by: his children, Sharon Gonzalez (late Javier), Carolyn Newmiller (David Jones) and Dana Kovalevich (Edward); and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Emily and Kelly. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vincent Gangemi Funeral Home, Inc. (2232 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19145). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Fernwood Cemetery (6501 E Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050).
