We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2024, Philip Catagnus (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Philip shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Philip farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Adele Catagnus; and his children, Philip Catagnus Jr., Deb Petratos, Linda Knowlton, Glen Catagnus, Lisa Shaw, Joe Catagnus and Cindy Antonacci. He was also cherished by his fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Calvary (11024 Knights Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154).

“Phil was truly loved on Tidy Island. He had great stories and always made us/me laugh. I loved sharing a Philadelphia connection with him and I loved hearing about many members of your wonderful family as well as reminiscences about his bar! We kept in touch after he left - birthdays, Christmas…… I will miss hearing his cheery voice on the phone. Condolences to all of you who were able to share some good years with your parents in FL.
