With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Jo Courey of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 15, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mabel Barnes and Joseph Barnes; her children, Robert (Thomas), James (Lisa), Linda (Ken) and Joseph (Bobbi); her great grandchildren, Jessica, Colleen, Sarah, Michael, Nicole, Kevin, Kelly, Avery and Bennett; her husband Kenneth; and her siblings, Wayne Barnes and Louise Murphy. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Cathedral Basilica https://cathedralphila.org., in honor of her devotion to the Lord and her lifelong commitment to helping others.
