It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Yvonne Elam (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Joyce Yvonne shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joyce Yvonne farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elam II and Geraldine Floyd; and her husband Raymond Tyler. She is survived by: her children, Derrick Walker, Markedia Elam and Theresa Jackson; her godson Christopher Goldsby; and her siblings, James Elam III and Janice Stokes. She is also survived by five grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Alfonso Cannon Funeral Chapels, Inc. (2315-19 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19132). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
