He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Discepola and Elizabeth Discepola (Strouse); his stepfather Carmen Discepola; his daughter Mary Beth; and his siblings, Ralph, Michael and Kate.
He is survived by: his wife Marion; his children, Joseph J., Jr., Serena Shaffer (Scott) and Matthew M. (Colleen); his grandchildren, Joseph J. III, Mark S., Timothy M., Justin M., Matthew M. Jr. and Elanoure; his great grandchildren, Carter Joseph, Isabella and Chase; his siblings, Anne Mueller, Anthony Discepola, Agnes Bross (George) and Stephen Discepola (Lisa); and his sister-in-law Nancy Discepola. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parish of St. John Neumann Church (680 Town Bank Rd, Cape May, NJ 08204). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. John of God (680 Town Bank Rd, Cape May, NJ 08204). The military honors was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150).
