He is survived by: his wife Connie Shead; his children, Daniel C Shead (Dottie), Tracy Hecht (Ralph) and Jennifer Rivera (Edward); his grandchildren, Brianna (Jack), Danielle, Dylan and Adrianna; his great grandchildren, Logan and Zoey; and his brothers, Gary Shead of Philadelphia and George Shead (Bud) of Arizona. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Helena's Church (6161 N 5th St, Philadelphia, PA 19120). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Temple University Hospital – Jeanes Campus.
