He was predeceased by : his wife Myrtle "Sis"; his siblings, Joseph Jerla (late Adele), Patricia Jerla and Joan Rich (late Edward); and his parents, Joseph Jerla and Marie Jerla.

He is survived by : his children, Patricia Davenport (Robert), Debbie Jerla and Charles A. Jerla, Jr. (Kate); and his sister Betty Young (late Robert). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, July 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM and on Monday, July 8th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Rogers Funeral Home (1426 S 3rd St #30, Philadelphia, PA 19147). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 8th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church (2319 S 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19148).
