He was predeceased by: his spouse Rita A.; and his sibling Thomas LaSpada. He is survived by: his child Albert La Spada (Sharon); his grandchildren, Natalia and Katarina; and his siblings, Anna Risolia and Frances LaSpada. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made in his memory to the National Ataxia Foundation, 600 Highway 169 South, Suite 1725, Minneapolis, MN 55426.
