As we bid Ann farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ann is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Nancy Gerwig (Robert), William Shaughnessy IV (Kathleen Dunn) and Michael Shaughnessy; her grandchildren, Kyle Dunn-Devine (Stephanie) and Ryan Shaughnessy; her great grandchild Nora; and her brothers, Harry Rilling (Barbara) and John "Jack" Rilling (Barbara).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Louis A. DiGiacomo Funeral Home, Inc. (1055 Southampton Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19116). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Christopher Church (13301 Proctor Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19116). A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Blessed Trinity Catholic School, 3033 Levick Street, Philadelphia, PA 19149.
