With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Allen J. Gilson Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Allen leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Gilson (Betty); and his granddaughter Lizzy Gilson. He is survived by: his children, Joe Gilson (Penny), Patty Nash (Stan), Liz Wilson (Dave), Pete Gilson (Linda) and Jim Gilson (Colleen).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Agnes Church (233 W Gay St, West Chester, PA 19380). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
