He is survived by: his children, Douglas Gardner (Carol) of Millersburg, OH and Tami Ansell (David) of Dawson; his granddaughter Natalie Colebank (Lloyd); his great grandchildren, Delaney of Dawson and Levi Colebank of Dawson; his siblings, Carl Gardner of Dawson and Margaret Vargo of Irwin; and his siblings-in-law, Walt Hartman of Fayette City and Mary Gardner of Perryopolis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
