He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Kovalcik and Mary Helen Gavulic Kovalcik; his sons, David Joseph Kovalcik and Joseph Michael Kovalcik; and his sisters, Elizabeth Bernhagen, Rosemary Dehus and Pauline Welsh.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Kollar Kovalcik; his children, JoAnne (Stephen Strom), Thomas (Anna Kovalcik), William (Lisa Kovalcik) and Julie (Ernest Kennedy); his brother Vincent; and his sister-in-law Frances Kovalcik of Clifton, NY. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Parzynski Funeral Home - Perryopolis (191 Liberty St, Perryopolis, PA 15473). A prayer was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist RC Church (3332 Pittsburgh St, Perryopolis, PA 15473). A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:30 AM at 468 Cemetery Rd, Perryopolis, PA 15473.
