We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Charles M. Basarab of Perryopolis, Pennsylvania, born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As Charles departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Charles leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Basarab and Sarah E. Flannigan Basarab. He is survived by: his sister Mary; and his brother-in-law Tim Pacey of Montgomery Village.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home - Perryopolis (191 Liberty St, Perryopolis, PA 15473). A prayer will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church (102 Railroad St, Perryopolis, PA 15473). A burial will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Charlie to be made to St. Nicholas Church Renovation Fund.
