He is survived by: his sons, Larry W. McElroy Jr. of Lancaster, James R. McElroy Sr. of Lititz and Tom L. McElroy (Heather) of Pequea; and his siblings, Gary McElroy (Liz) of Peach Bottom, Dottie Lee of Lewes, DE, Cindy Garman (Jimmy) of Rising Sun, MD and Brian McElroy of Ohatchee, AL.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren as well as a great grandchild.
