He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bretz and Beatrice Bretz; and his brothers, Phillip and Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his daughters, Alyssa and Megan; his brothers, Stephen and Michael; and his stepsons, Matthew, Daniel and James. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
