She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyle Kenneth and Lillie Mae Haynes (Ater); and her husband James R. Schwantes. She is survived by: her children, Jodie Platt Butz (James H. Butz) of Allentown, PA, Kim Edward Platt (Deborah Engish Platt) of Point Pleasant, PA, Vicki Platt Messina (John Messina) of Fountainville, PA and Kane Kenneth Platt (Julia Ryan Platt) of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, 108 S. Main St., Richlandtown, PA.
