He is survived by: his wife Wanda Goehring Hixon; his children, James Hixon (Kelly), Andrew Hixon (Tricia) and Ann Ayissi-Essono (Sylvestre); his grandchildren, Hannah (Nathan), Bailey, Caleb, Megan, Lilyan, Jacob, Moriah and Jaylen; his great grandchild Charlotte; his brothers, Grayson "Boots" Hixon and Philip Hixon (Sheri); and also Miriam Hixon. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
