He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Markell and Mamie Markell (Rice); and his siblings, Frances Evans, Marian Wertman and Donald Markell.
He is survived by: his wife Linda S. Markell (Schleicher); his sons, Justin Markell (Kristin) and Nathan Markell (Miranda) of Lehighton; and his sisters, Betty Deibert (Robert) of Slatington and Brenda Deibert (Harry) of Danielsville.
A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ovsak Funeral Home (190 S 4th St, Lehighton, PA 18235).
