He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore C. Kukich Sr. and Edith Backus (Hazlett); and his brothers, Theodore "Ted" Kukich, Jr. and Melvin "Peach" Kukich, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Lois Kukich (Walch); his children, John C. Kukich, Jr. (Dee) of Penn Twp and Kristi Lansberry (John Eric) of West Decatur; his grandchildren, Sammi, Nick, Dave, Chris, Haley and Ethan; and his sisters, Cindy Beck and Mary Ellen Gillihan.
