He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Michael and Edith McCartney (Simmons); his children, Douglas McCartney (Marti Jo) of Grampian, Jeffery McCartney of Grampian and Jill McCartney; his grandchildren, A. J. Wilt, Haden McCartney and Evan McCartney; and his siblings, Beatrice Anderson (Andrew), Teresa Kennis (Greg), Dennis McCartney (Elma), Marge Kennis (Ron), Karen Taylor (Rob), Amy Tucker (Lance), Jean Levin (Scott) and Edward McCartney (Maria). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
