He is survived by: his mother Edna Mae "Sunny" "Sis" Nickle (Soles); his children, Amanda Bernhardy (Rob Jones), George C. "Chaz" Bernhardy Jr. and Elizabeth Waugaman Smith (David); his grandchildren, David and Aaliyah Smith; his sisters, Arlene Kasenic (Jim), Sher Churchfield and Karolyn Seice (Mike); and also Brenda Bernhardy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
