He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick M. Prechtl, Sr. and Viola Krieg Prechtl; and his siblings, Freida Cassels, Carolyn Saline, Shirley Prechtl, Albert "Albie" Prechtl, Richard "Dickey" Prechtl and Kenneth Prechtl.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Villella; his children, Richard Prechtl of Ridgway, Theresa Salberg (Michael) of Wilcox, Douglas Prechtl (Pauline) of Daguscahonda, Donna Nussbaum (Randy) of St. Marys and Judi Jones (David) of Wilcox; his grandchildren, Michael Prechtl (Ashley), Maria Jones, Julia Jones, Brady Nussbaum and Colby Nussbaum; his great grandchildren, Austin, Landry and Brooks Prechtl; his siblings, Mary Samick of Erie, Helen Lenox of St. Marys, Margie Gerg (Babe) of Toby and Thomas Prechtl (Margaret) of Ridgway; and his daughter-in-law Loretta Pasi of Ridgway. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Church (606 Penn St, Johnsonburg, PA 15845).
