He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl H. Palmer and Dorothy Green Palmer; his wife Clara E. Lance; his sons, Darrell and Dean Palmer; and his siblings, Thelma Winslow, John "Bud" Palmer and James Palmer.
He is survived by: his children, Donita Mosier of Kersey, Dori Palmer of Virginia, Daniel Palmer of St. Marys, Damon Palmer (Michelle) of DuBois and Douglas Palmer (Carol) of Brockport; and his siblings, June Gschwendter, Joyce Anderson, Karen Schatz and Keith Palmer (Connie). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson.
