He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Merriman and Mary Louise Knecht Merriman; and his siblings, Phyllis Falcona, Eunice Guenther, Nancy Merriman Koegler, Janet Merriman, William, Joseph and Russell Merriman.
He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Merriman (Jennifer) of Mars and Mary Lee Merriman of Evans City; his grandchildren, Dakota, Clayton and Ryder; and his siblings, Norma Fisher, Carolyn "Midge" Ganster of Freedom, James Merriman (Twila) of Mt. Holly Springs, PA and Robert Merriman (Linda). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
