He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Swope and Winifred Naomi Swope (Fick); his brothers, Walter, Delbert, Robert and William "Bula" Swope; and his grandson Ernie Bladon.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Tina Swope) and Angela (Tim Bender); his grandchildren, Danielle Swope, Kaine Swope (Tasha), Mackenzie Bender, Tyler Bender and Jason Pool; his great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Trent, N'Khia, McKenna, Waylon, Ainsey, Emmett, Haiden, Bentley, Harper, Henley and Merrick; his siblings, Alice Fisher, Ada Miller and John Swope; and his aunt Ida "Petey" Fick.
