It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie Jean Reiter in Penn, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Bonnie had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Bonnie may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Keith M. Niver and Dorothy Jean Niver (Zetts); and her husband Alton B. Reiter. She is survived by: her sons, Eduard Z. Reiter of Haymarket and Keith Reiter (Jennifer) of Indiana; her grandchildren, Jacob, Addison and Benjamin; and her siblings, Cheryl Olinger (Stanley) of Lower Burrell, William Niver (Carol) of Big Run, John Niver (Shelly) of Big Run and Ward "Buster" Niver (Cathy) of Reynoldsville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc. (115 E Union St, Punxsutawney, PA 15767). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
