He was predeceased by: his father Bernard; and his siblings, James Bauer and Linda Caldwell. He is survived by: his wife Bonita Rees; his children, Jamie Druga (Nick), Scott Bauer (Leah), Lauren Modafarre (Tom) and Emily Coleman (Jon); his close friends, Cassidy and Bryan Dempsey; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Abigail, Alana, Jason, Jackson, Dakota, Grant, Leona and Adelaide (Benjamin); and his sister Helen Newton. He is also survived by sister.
