He was predeceased by: his parents, Verl Jack and Antoinette Zippi Cox; his siblings, Everett Cox and Mary Bush; and his grandson Ryland Anthony Madden.

He is survived by: his close friends, Harry, John and Jack; his former wife Ann Eckel; his daughter Curry Madden (Jonathan) of Indianland, SC.; his grandson Ryker Joseph Henry Madden; and his siblings, James, Douglas, Verl John, Matthew, Frank Cox, Edith Stecker, Dolores Higgins, Jacqueline Morse and Wanda Radcliff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
