He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Spear and Hazel Schoeller Cox; his wife Janet Marie Thompson Cox; and his brothers, John Cox, William Cox and Roy Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Cox of North Versailles and David Cox (Michele) of Orting, WA; his stepchildren, Donald Snider (Jeanine) of Scottsdale, PA, Daniel Snider (Julie) of Jamestown, SC and Denise Eisaman (Jerry) of Elizabeth; and his sisters, Mary Jane Dewyer of White Oak, Ruth Armstrong of Glenshaw, Martha Kamerer of Bethal Park and Peggy Murray (Jack) of White Oak. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
