It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Pani Lillian Hnatko of Penn Run, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 2, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephan and Agata Wierny (Romanchik); and her sister Nadia Akula. She is survived by: her husband George Hnatko; her son George Hnatko Jr. (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Zachary George and Katelyn Rose; and her nephews, George and Alhert Akula.
Together, they raised a son and served their parishes and community, founding the Eastern Orthodox Foundation in 1966, which helped those in need for over 45 years.
